Papa Don't Preach Goes Bridal

I'm sure all of you know about my super talented designer friend Shubhika Sharma and her label Papa Don't Preach from some of my earlier posts. Shubhika has just launched her lovely bridal collection for the wedding season. She has everything for brides and their families, so if you're getting married or someone in your family is, you have to go check out her collection. The lenghas are all in mirror work  and they are surprisingly light in weight .( I could walk and dance during the shoot, so I think you should be fine on your wedding day!!! Tried and tested!!!) Garage Sale!!!

Since fashion repeats itself we all have a very good excuse to hoard all our old clothes and not throw anything away. A few months ago I read about a garage sale (Swasta Ani Masta) being organized by journalist Mitali Parekh and signed myself up. I knew there were loads of things in my closet which just had to go and which I would never wear regardless of the current fashion trends. But I also had loads of stuff that wasn't my style or my size. I hung on to them for sooooo long because they were either expensive or never worn and throwing them away just didn't seem right. So I finally cleaned out my closet and boxed up all my clothes up and headed to Mocha in Bandra . I was pleasantly surprised that I sold soooooooooooooooooooooo much!!! I have realized that this is a great way to get rid of your clothes and make some money to buy new ones!!! I know a lot of people will say give them away to the homeless and needy but honestly I don’t see them wearing halters or bikinis and tiny minis. So this is a great platform for fashionistas to get rid of the clutter from their closet and make some money.
I have participated in two garage sales so far, and our third sale is on this Sunday at Mocha Mojo in Bandra. Its loads of fun and you always find great bargains. Last time I bought a lovely pink Satchel by Princess K. I will have lots of branded and designer stuff for sale at throw away prices. I have clothes priced from Rs100- 400 and tons of designer stuff too!!! Some of the brands and designers I'm stocking are Mango, Zara, Abercrombie & Fitch, Topshop, H & M, Atsu, Nishka Lulla, Ranna Gill, Gaurav Gupta, Guess, Diesel, Bebe and lots more. I will also have a box full of men’s wear and brand new swim wear!!!! You will also get to choose a free gift from the 100's box if you pick up 3 items.

So if your looking for some good bargains head to Mocha Mojo at Hill road, Bandra (W) this Sunday (19th August,2012) for a super garage sale by Swasta Ani Masta from 11 am - 4 pm. See you there!!!

P.S. - Carry cash coz cards will not be accepted.

Asymmetrical hemlines - High or low?

Blake Lively
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Mila Kunis

Me in one of my Sarojini buys!
Asymmetrical hemlines are everywhere right now and I just can't get enough of them. I absolutely love asymmetrical hemline dresses. Aren't there times when you just can't decide weather you should wear a maxi or a mini? Well now you can wear both ;)
Even if your not a fan of dresses you can still sport this trend by wearing tops and skirts with asymmetrical hemlines. And don't worry, you don't need to break your piggy bank to get this look, I bought some great clothes with up and down hemlines from Sarojini Nagar in Delhi for  barely 200 bucks!!! I have also seen similar dresses and tops at fashion street so if you're in Bombay and on a budget you should go and check it out.
And  if your an online shopper like me, here are some options for you...
