     One of the biggest Fall/Winter 2011 trends has been the "Star Print" . It first appeared on the fashion radar at Dolce & Gabbana's Fall/Winter show last February but it was quickly embraced by the fashion world and still continues to linger on. Initially critics said this was a "Micro-trend" that will be short lived but with each passing month the trend only got bigger and better. Some other designers such as Sonia Rykiel, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Chanel have also favored this trend.There is a star for everybody! This print can be found in all shapes and sizes, over the last few months it has appeared on every clothing item right from scarves to trousers. We have even seen a lot of accessories inspired by this trend.

Runway To The Red Carpet

Asian actress Wei Tang was the first star to sport this trend on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival last May. Soon after almost all of Hollywood was star-struck. This trend went straight from the runway to the red carpet. Zoe Saldana wore her dress at the Cannes Film Festival, Fergie wore a bright yellow and black number to the 2011 Teen Choice Awards, a heavily pregnant Jessica Alba rocked this look in a starry maxi , Kim Kardasian wore hers for a cake tasting before her wedding and if you think only young Hollywood can work this trend check out Helen Mirren at the 2011 British Comedy Awards.This trend even took the fashion world by storm and was featured in  leading fashion magazines across the globe. Our very own Nargis Fakhri was seen wearing the much talked about star print D&G maxi in the September issue of Vogue India. Unfortunately this trend did not catch on with our Bollywood beauties. :( (Such a shame)
